From the curves of pregnancy to the wild chaos of toddlerhood, the milk-smeared moments to the tender last feeds, I’m endlessly drawn to the story that unfolds as a woman meets herself over and over again.

These sessions aren’t about posing or perfection. They’re about truth ~ the milk-drunk haze, the skin on skin, the tiny hands, the teary eyes, the soft exhaustion that somehow looks so breathtakingly beautiful on her.

“I didn’t feel beautiful, I felt chunky, exhausted and all things postpartum. But gosh, I’m so thankful we invested in capturing those sacred fleeting moments. Since our first session in my first week postpartum, Shelley has continued to tell our story throughout the last 7 years and can’t recommend her enough!

Shelley made us feel so comfortable and the going joke was that by the end of the session the layers would come off and we’d be in our natural comfort of bare skin to skin, which is exactly what happened! And I did feel beautiful! Shelley went above and beyond both in session and with her editing.

Prior to our session she asked me about any insecurities and during the shoot she was conscious of those things and supported me by shooting at certain angles that were more flattering and made me feel comfortable to relax during our session. I look back at these photos now and am in awe of my beautiful changing body over 7yrs of motherhood.
